Mechanical lysis and filtration of the toughest samples.
Hard samples are opened where they are collected. A magnetically actuated syringe turns rock, soil or tissue to paste and breaks open even the toughest microbe wall. The filter that follows does the job of a centrifuge. Nothing is pipetted, and nothing needs mains power.

Draw liquid samples straight in, or drop solids in at the top. Pipette-free throughout.

Homogenise and lyse
Turn rock, soil or tissue to paste, and lyse even the toughest microbe wall.

Filter
The same clean lysate a centrifuge gives, without the equipment or the electricity.

No tube is ever opened, so the operator is never exposed.

Why bead beating stays in the lab
Difficult samples need mechanical disruption, and that has always meant bead beating on benchtop. It needs pipetting, a 20 kg instrument, and the tube still has to be centrifuged afterwards to clear the debris. Our approach removes all three.

Any microbe, one tool
Disruption on a macro scale is only half the problem. Our solution works just as well at the micro-scale, creating enough shear force to lyse even the toughest gram-positive bacteria, fungi, and more.
