Readout with the naked eye

On Dragonfly the tube changes colour and you read it across the bench, no instrument, no power. On Lacewing the same reaction is read as pH on a CMOS ISFET array, sampled continuously, so you get a curve instead of a verdict. Nothing about the chemistry changes between the two.
